Deciduous woody stemmed climber with tendrils ending in adhesive pads (9m) from Eastern USA. Five toothed leaflet foliage turning crimson in autumn. Useful for covering a high wall or building. Inconspicuous flowers followed by blue black berries in autumn. Prefers fertile moist loam but will survive on less. Vigorous growth requires ample space. Minor invasive weed potential near bushland. Drought sensitive.
