Eucalyptus ficifolia

Dense spreading tree with dark greyish brown bark. Leaves are ovate to lance-shaped, dark green above and pale green beneath. Flowers are red, pink or white in colour and are borne from summer to autumn. Eucalyptus ficifolia grows to about 15m high and 20m wide. Gorgeous flowers attract nectar-hungry birds from December through to February. It needs full sun and a well drained soil.
