Versatile shrub with an upright habit of 2-2.5m high and 1.5 metres wide with ends of stems weeping but not pendulous. This plant will do better with good watering particularly if planted in sand, in addition to mulching. Red flowers are produced in spring and summer. This plant is a nectar and seed source for birds.
