Nettle trees are grown for their form and foliage which colours well in autumn. The leaves are alternate and toothed. Flowers are small and green and are borne in spring. Male flowers are produced in clusters while the female flowers are produced singly or in twos or threes. In autumn the female flowers are followed by fruit. The fruit produced resembles spherical berries. This plant is quite large, roughly about 12m tall and 12m wide.
