Evergreen erect tussock forming perennial (0.75m x 0.8m). Dwarf hybrid of P. tenax from New Zealand. Arching bronze purple strap-like sword shaped leaves. Red tubular flowers on erect stems in summer. Useful accent for its foliage contrast and vertical form. Prefers well drained soil in sun to semi-shade. Drought tolerant.
