How to save water for pool and spa

If you have a swimming pool the most effective way to save water is to use a pool cover. You can also harvest rainwater, storing it in a tank to top up the pool in summer.

A good pool cover, if properly used, will reduce water evaporation from your pool and also reduce your pool chemicals bill. Pool covers range from simple leaf covers (which reduce evaporation by around 40%) though to thicker blankets and security covers (which can save up to 90% evaporation). Rebates for pool covers are available in Queensland and Western Australia.
